DROOG is the DJ cadre of Andrei Osyka, Brett Griffin and Justin Sloe. We play dance music -- techno, house, minimal. Hector Cardenas
International DJ, innovative producer, founder and front man of one of the world's most legendary party organizations: FunkyTekno Tribe (FTT) and Organic. -DJ Hector Cardenas has emerged as a pioneering force in the house music scene and has continued to be instrumental in the proliferation of dance music on a global scale. Hector Cardenas' versitility as a DJ is second to none, applying his own unique and highly sophisticated stlye to all aspects of dance, ranging from future house and funky tekno to hip-house mash-ups and jazzy grooves. Starting out as a club DJ in 1989, Hector eventually joined forces with founding co-partners Kevon Banks and Jerry Sladewski in 1992 to form FTT just as the burgeoning underground rave scene was exploding along California's sunny shores. Firmly establishing himself as an FTT resident DJ, Hector has played at some of the worlds hottest clubs and has shared the stage with many of the world's premier electronic music artists such as DJ Sneak, Junior Sanchez, Mark Farina, DJ Dan, Daft Punk and The Basement Jaxx to name a few. After years of great success touring and producing parties with the FTT crew, Hector now spends a lot of his time traveling and playing the international club circuit as well as playing residency at clubs in the San Francisco Bay Area. Together, Mikey and Gelly both launched the self-coined "HAWT Movement" in February of 2006 in Los Angeles, California. Best friends united by their relentless passion for music, they set out to change the way that people looked at house music, parties, and just having fun in general. "At first we just wanted to start a record label in order to showcase our own music, meanwhile having the opportunity to sign our favorite artists that we admire", says Mikey. "Along with that came the party, and that's what really put us on the map and opened up doors to gradually build relationships that will forever change our lives".

In May of 2006, HAWT Afterhours was born. On every 1st and 3rd Friday since the inception, HAWT's underground parties have not only showcased the DJ talent of various quality acts from all over the world, such as Inland Knights, Justin Long, Johnny Fiasco and many more, but they have also displayed the talent of so many of the great DJ's in the local scene. "We always looked back to the beginnning, before we ever had a gig and knew that this was an important step, something that people needed and appreciated", says Gelly. "Overall, the main focus has always been on bringing back that old school house vibe at parties, bringing friends together with music, and just breaking boundaries and having FUN", according to Mikey. HAWT also stands for "Having A Wonderful Time", and they have done just that with the help of Eddie Barajas, Mike Magana, and many more along the way.

Keep an eye out for original music and remixes by EASILY INFLUENCED, which has been getting played by many world class acts such as Derrick Carter, Justin Long, Phil Weeks, DJ Mes, Natural Rhythm, Ricardo Rae, etc. "We think our versatility will surprise people. He continues, "we want our style to basically be versatility, and never want to hold anything back. If we're feeling something, whatever sound or style that may be, we make it."

Jack Monforte
In the beginning there was Jack...or so the story goes.
Jack "Freedom" Monforte has been spinning for over two decades now.
An underground fixture since the late eighties, he joined forces with two other promoters
in the early nineties to create Sweet Sundays.
Shortly thereafter he moved to Alaska, where he saw an opportunity to bring the underground techno scene to virgin territory, today Jack is considered one of the pioneers of the Alaskan electronic scene.
Moving back to Los Angeles in the mid nineties saw Jack earn a residency at
Club Diva where he opened up for Richard Vission and live acts like,
Rozalla, Donna Blakely, Alyus, Bad Boy Bill,etc...
In the early part of 2001 Jack along with partner K.C. Santana created Soulplanet Sessions.
a place where musicians,Djs and dancers could come together and create magic.
Soulplanet Sessions has hosted the likes of Marlon D,Master Kev, Tony Powell, Wayne Lyons and numerous other DJs.
Apart from being a producer/ DJ, his other passion is Graffiti art and photography.
Jack's appearances have included...Dirty Dirty House Club, The Clinic, Faith after-hours, Inspiration, Therapy (FTWK), Movin, Union Square Lounge (NYC), The End Up (San Francisco) and countless one offs.

This isn't for manifesto gathering specifically, but I think that the group of folks on here might be interested. Hope you guys are having a blast!

Action: Shrine & Sara are bidding a fond farewell when shrine says, "I would really like to stay & kiss you or hold you...but consideration I can barely speak or stand I don think I can come up with a clever enuf way to initiate such activities...
when the two heroes consented to a written rain check, where & when shrine would be given a second chance to be more clever...okay...then we settled on t posting this event for legal issues.....and Mary's ASS’s zoning laws(per sara’s request)! At this time shrine wants to formal purpose marriage to mary's ass...if Stefano is willing to divorce of annul with the relations bet Mary and the world we know as the wonderful mystery tours of her ass....but he is napping now…so check back when he’s not insane or suckeling teet…but shrine would consider OPEN relations with mary’s ass
And without further delay, back to our story. Shrine makes an executive decision and decides to cash in his second chance of celerity by suggesting that we make out in every room in the loft…but THEN shrine thought body painting would be more appropriate followed by a dip in the pool would be more appropriate…but then rather than swim mining in a pool, he washed my feet. And I liked it. But he coulda tried kissing me earlier…but he was foaming at the mouth then. Well we’ll get back to the foaming later…but we did kiss…..and well we kissed again…and then we updated this page….and talked about ink…how far fetched?? The LoveFest Experiment #6

The Experiment continues! Yeah, yeah. We're one of the few groups out there that takes a break from throwing a monthly event so they can stage three massive events at a remote desert location (Blackout on Monday, The Temple Of Breaks on Wednesday, and A Night In Purgatory on Thursday).

But yes, we're back. We're showered, we're shaved, we're all cleaned up and looking presentable. Well, almost presentable ;-) And what's the best way to celebrate? How about 20+ hours of music? Some of it on The Purgatory Cruiser rocking down Market Street, some of it rattling the stone columns at the Civic Center, and some of it tearing up two rooms at our favorite spot on 11th Street (just a few blocks away from the Civic Center). Sounds about right, don't you think? The very best in DJ sets, Live PA, and hardware....

The PARADE starts at noon at 2nd & Market. The PARTY starts at the Civic Center immediately following the parade. The AFTER-PARTY starts at 9PM and goes all the way through til 8AM. And yes, the bar will re-open at 6AM... we're working on management to cook up some kind of bloody mary or mimosa special for the survivors. It's been a long year, it's going to be a long night, we've got a lot of love to share.

Wahooo….here we come!!! We are so very excited to see our friends and family this weekend…it feels like forever since we’ve put on our full production for our west coast family…and we’re coming back with a vengeance!

We are filming our DVD on this Friday Nov. 17th at Fonda Music Box, and can’t wait to play our new songs and visual material for you! To make matters more wild, cool and unbelievable…we’re adding four amazing guest stars to our DVD shoot to join us onstage for some unprecedented magical musical mutations. Joining us onstage at the Fonda will be Los Angeles legends John Avila, Steve Bartok and Johnny “Vatos” Hernandez from Oingo Boingo!! As if that isn’t enough, we’ll sweeten the pot as joining all of us will be drumming legend Stephen Perkins from Jane’s Addiction/Banyan/Infectious Grooves/Method of Mayhem!!! We are very proud to bring these music legends to the stage and ask for your help to spread the word!!

The web will offer up personal truths, it will offer up hope and dreams, it will offer a true reflection of how what you choose (hope or fear) affects the outcome of your future in a clear representation in the present moment.
“The Web of Dreams” will be placed 1300ft from the man at 1:30. We will have 2 scheduled events on Tuesday and Thursday from 10 pm to midnight. The first, spider races, two people are attached at the torso creating one eight legged spider. They then have to work together to make it to the other side of the Web. The second event is Bumper bubbles. One of ten fans will fill your personal bubble with air and after it is sealed you will then bounce, bump and run into the other participates in their personal bubbles.
We got a late start on this idea but we know, with some help from the community, we can still pull it off (no fear only hope). We have most everything we need but if the opportunity to assist others in breaking through their fear and gaining more hope and possibility inspires you we invite you to become a part of the “Web Team” and help in anyway you can. We are looking for people to fill volunteer shifts, donate money (we still need over $1,000) or any supplies we still need please contact me on Tribe or directly:

Greetings from Matty! San Diego was off the frigging HOOK, and we must thank all of our SD friends and family for coming out in such full force! 4th & B was packed to the rafters, and it was a brilliant evening of music and fun! Thanks for the love!

We've added two of our favorite LA DJ's to our lineup for this Friday's show at Galaxy Theater: Patricio and David Starfire will be joining Mutaytor in Santa Ana. minute ride to the location. Shuttles will be running all night from 10:30 pm until 7 am.

For years, David Starfire and I have been DJing some sweet and crazy events (mostly in the Bay Area) where Breakbeats merge with World Dance Beatz. We have been wanting to create more of these Ethno Tribal Dance events here for our Southern California Dance Community.

Shapeshifters is the first such collaboration.

At ShapeShifters there will be an indoor room devoted to Funky Breaks with local legends Patricio, Ooah, David and Christian. Then outside, on the patio, the music will be devoted to delicious groovy Breaks and Tribal Beatz with strong flavas of India, Arabia and Africa.

If you love to Belly Dance or if you love Tribal Drums and Rhythms, you will want to visit the patio! Joining me there on the World Dance Beatz Crew will be Dandelion, Imagika and Tamer.

Dandelion has DJed across much of India. DJ Imagika is a belly dancer herself. Tamer's family is from Egypt, so he knows how to support you in the shimmy and shake. I have DJed Ethno Tribal dance sets across the country for crowds of over a thousand dancers (see my tribe photo album for the fun dance pixs). So we are prepared to dish it out for ya!

At 11:00 on the patio, I will be playing a set that will be begin BellydanceFunkySensual and will build to rock your sexy asses with bootie slammin Tribal Breaks and Beatz!

Out of respect for the neighborhood, we will have to chill out the music on the patio at about 1:00 AM. --- SO IF YOU WANT TO EXPERIENCE OUR EROTIC EXOTIC PATIO DANCE SCENE, PLEASE ARRIVE EARLY.

The artists reception begins at 6:00. Come before 10:00 pm and you save $5.
